My name is Alan Britch. I am 72 years of age and I live in ECCLES Nr.
Manchester England. I have always shown an active interest in L.E. Velocette's
for the past 50 years, or since their introduction by Veloce Ltd. Since my
retirement from employment by Barclays Bank Plc. 4 years ago I have been in a
happy position to pursue this hobby further and thus write this Web page. I am
also fortunate in that computers are also a part of my life. I would like to
hear from anybody who would like to know more about the marque or would like
more information on this Web page. My E mail and fax is available at all times
night and day, so please make contact.

This is my 1948 Mk.I. Fortunately, all is completely original with matching
engine number and frame. Aluminium rims to the wheels, cylinder heads stamped
150, alloy spun head lamp, multi-jet carburettor and fabricated rear frame. The
only new parts fitted have been the legshields and panniers (still obtainable
through the Club spares). It starts first pull and runs very well although with
a little rattle! Only to be expected as it's 50 years old.

This 1956 Mk.II. is my general workhorse and is in excellent
condition. All original, drips oil a bit but runs well. The machine was
originally mine back in 1958 and did the rounds of the family, stripped down and
left for a few years and finally re-built by my nephew who painted it black
which suits the machine. It has now come back home about 2 years ago!

This 1962 Mk.III. was built up from two scrap machines.
Completed in red, to match my other machines, runs like a bag of nails. The big
ends have gone or are on their way. At the time I had the choice of two
engines...... chose wrong! This will form this year's work changing to the other
one and let's hope that will be o.k. Indicators have been fitted as a means of
feeling less vulnerable on the roads today.

This is my favorite 1958 Valiant. It is in show condition in
every way. Rides like a dream but balancing the twin carbs is a nightmare. I think the jets and needles are worn but replacement is virtually impossible as
they are not obtainable.

This is my latest addition to the stable, now making the set
complete, well perhaps the Vee line..........!

Other minor machines in the stable. A Velosolex and a very rare
Clark Scamp and a folding Mobylette X1 along with MONTY the cat!
